Client: ProcurementExpress
Industry: Procurement technology
My role: Curriculum developer & scriptwriter
The brief
ProcurementExpress is a procurement software company that helps organisations manage and control company spending.
The marketing team wanted to create an educational video course for finance leaders navigating their first 100 days in a new role. The course needed to provide useful, credible guidance while introducing ProcurementExpress and its spend management software in a way that felt relevant rather than overly promotional.
I was responsible for researching and developing the course, writing the scripts and presenting the finished videos.
My approach
I started by researching the responsibilities and challenges facing newly appointed finance leaders, then used that research to determine what the course should cover.
The emphasis was on practical information the audience could start implementing straight away. ProcurementExpress's software was introduced where it was relevant to the subject matter rather than making the product the focus of every lesson.
I then wrote the scripts for the seven-module course, including the voiceovers and visual direction. The tone needed to make a potentially dry subject engaging without losing credibility with a professional finance audience, so I used conversational language, visual cues and occasional humour alongside the educational content.
I also presented the finished video series.
