SPEC AD: This email was created as part of a test project for the client.
Challenge
I was asked to create a promotional email for Live Like An Editor, a free 5-day virtual workshop designed to help women curate extraordinary lives with intention and elegance. The challenge was to promote both the free and paid tiers of the workshop without sounding pushy or salesy, therefore preserving the sophisticated, aspirational tone that defines this luxury brand. The goal was to highlight the transformational value of the free offer while seamlessly positioning the $37 upgrade as an irresistible next step with added bonuses, deeper coaching and exclusive access.
My Approach
For this piece, I needed to balance elegance with action, creating a sales email that made readers feel like they were saying yes to themselves, not just a program. I used the editorial analogy to elevate the concept of personal growth, while highlighting the client's values, which include abundance and empowerment.
To increase click-through rates, I added hyperlinked calls-to-action throughout the email and included a button at the bottom, providing readers with multiple opportunities to opt in. Both directed prospects to the registration page.
