Your Pet's Friend
Website Copy & Facebook Content · B2C Veterinary
Client: Your Pet's Friend
Industry: Mobile veterinary practice
My role: Copywriter & content writer
The brief
Your Pet's Friend is an independent mobile veterinary practice serving pet owners across the Perth Hills.
I was brought in to rewrite the practice's website, which didn't reflect the personal experience clients received from its owner and sole veterinarian. The copy needed to explain the services clearly while giving prospective clients a sense of the calm, compassionate and individual care they could expect.
Following the website launch, I also began creating weekly Facebook content for the practice.
My approach
The mobile service solves a very human problem: taking an unwell, elderly or anxious animal to the vet can be stressful for pet and owner. I brought that perspective into the website copy, focusing not only on what each service involved, but on what receiving vet care at home meant for pets and their owners.
I also made the practice more personal on the page. Instead of referring to the business as "we" and "our", I wrote in the first person to reflect the fact that clients would be dealing directly with one veterinarian.
To better understand what mattered to existing clients, I looked closely at the language used in Google reviews. Recurring themes such as "gentle", "calm", "comfortable" and "explains everything clearly" helped inform the copy and reinforce the qualities clients already associated with the practice.
The tone also needed to change with the subject. Routine services could feel warm and conversational, while sensitive topics such as euthanasia called for quieter, more reassuring language.
I carried the same approach into the practice's weekly Facebook content, combining pet care tips and service-related posts with community content and lighter moments.

Outcome
When I began managing Your Pet's Friend's Facebook content in June 2025, the page had approximately 630 followers. By February 2026, that had grown to more than 1,270.
The website rewrite and ongoing Facebook content also gave the practice a more personal and consistent online presence, with copy that reflected the practical benefits of mobile vet care and the warmth and compassion clients valued in the service.
